Wendy Wood

I studied to be an urban planner, I ended up as an electrical draftsperson. But my true love was painting and then later on weaving. So I took the plunge, quit work, took a few courses from a variety of teachers and became a full time artist.

I have been painting for more than 30 years and weaving for more than 20. I have participated in many group and solo shows over the years. I now work from my studio in the Haliburton Highlands, Ontario, where just looking out of my studio window is an inspiration for what I do.

Looking forward I see a slightly new direction in my artwork, one full of experimentation, colour and shape. I am looking forward to the coming journey.
