Paul Belenky

 Paul works in installation, drawing, and sculpture and explores themes of mechanization, agriculture, and food. He pursues a specific kind of “trolling” surreality in his work because to him, absurdity and play often approach the truth more closely than reality. Paul has participated in numerous residencies both in the US and abroad including at the Wassaic Project, Salem Art works, and The Fish Factory Creative Center. He is looking forward to taking his practice in a new direction through his time at Halls Island, hybridizing plein air and blueprint drawings influenced by the Islands landscape.
