R&B/pop singer Sandra Bouza has a lot to offer through her music and life experience. The Toronto native who has lived, studied or worked all over the world, lets her stories breathe in songs that are deeply personal.
After performing in nightclubs and hotels for years in Europe and North and West Africa, Sandra has reinvested herself into her own music career.
As much as she loved playing other people’s songs, she felt she was hiding behind that. She had been a prolific songwriter since her teens. “I’m proud of my songs. They speak to my story,” she says.
Since returning to her hometown in 2017, her career has already experienced exciting milestones, placing first runner up in the 2019 Soul Slam at Lula Lounge, winning the 2019 Toronto Blues Society Talent Search and representing Toronto at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee where she advanced to the semi finals out of 250 international blues acts. Teaming up with Toronto producer; Hill Kourkoutis, Sandra released a 2018 EP ‘Three Years’ and most recently, an 8 song album “Falling Away From Me” released on February 14th of this year.
